Cracked heels, dryness, tanning, smelly feet and a number of other disasters befall them. Even if you are dressed dashingly, the impression might be far from positive if eyes fall on your dry and flaky feet.

#Cleanse your feet

  • Soak your feet in lukewarm water. Add a mild shampoo or body wash and a pinch of salt
  • After 15 minutes, use a foot brush or a pumice stone to scrub the feet. This will give you a clean feet devoid of dead skin
  • Wash your feet with cold water every day

#Get rid of dead cells

  • The above regimen can be followed to get rid of dead skin cells
  • A home-made scrub using crushed lentils and milk can be applied for the same. Let the pack dry and wash it off with water
  • Lemon juice and honey can also work wonders
  • Use a soft brush to clear off dead cells and dirt

#Remove tan

  • Apply fresh aloe-vera gel, sunscreen lotion, cucumber juice or potato juice on your feet to remove tan
  • A  pack of turmeric powder and sandal paste can also be used
  • Wear thin socks while going out in sun
  • A pack of Multani mitti can also be used for de-tanning

#Get rid of smelly feet

  • Soak your feet in lukewarm water and sea salt
  • Wash your feet daily with a mild cleanser
  • Wear breathable footwear
  • Use a good, light moisturiser

#Treat cracked heels

  • Apply Vaseline or a heavy moisturiser at night and put on cotton socks. Follow it for at least 15 days
  • Don't stand for long hours
  • Keep a check on your body weight
  • Take care of your toe-nails
  • Trim your toe-nails as often as needed
  • Use a soft brush to clean the dirt
  • Apply warm coconut oil on them to make them healthy and shiny
  • Try moisturising your cuticles instead of clipping them

#Wear proper shoes

  • Invest in a good pair of shoes
  • This will take care of your ankle
  • Keep your shoes in direct sunlight to remove sweat and germs

#Use skin lightening packs

  • Apply plain yogurt, keep it for 5-7 minutes, wash it off
  • Use tomato juice in a similar way
  • Make a paste of crushed orange peel and rose water. Apply, let it dry and then rinse off

#Get frequent foot massages

  • Use a foot massage cream daily. A good massage improves blood circulation
  • Olive oil massage is also great
  • Rotate your feet when sitting for long hours

#Get smooth and moisturised feet

  • Apply foot cream at night, daily
  • Use milk cream and wash it off
  • Honey is a great moisturiser and can give you happy feet
  • Egg whites are great for pampering your feet. Wash it using a mild cleanser
