A phone is a personal thing, almost like a diary, but not quite so personal. Even if you love your partner, trust them and tell them how you feel and what you think, it still doesn't mean you want them to know what exactly they chatted with their friends or family members. Snooping on your partner's phone can even ruin your relationship.
So, always remember -- trust is wonderful, but a little personal space is quite priceless. It can make your bond stronger. Here are five reasons why you shouldn't snoop on your partner's phone!
1. It violates your partner's trust in you:
Trust is a pillar of relationship! If your partner leaves their phone out in the open then it shows that they trust you and they don't think that you will snoop on their phone. Leaving the phone in open is a gesture that shows their respect and faith in you.
So, at the very least, you should offer them the same in return. Somehow by secretly searching through your partner's phone, you're breaking the trust and respect.
2. Shows your insecurities:
Talk about your insecurities Have you ever questioned yourself why do you feel like snooping into your partner's phone? Isn't it very simple that you don't trust your partner? Violating the trust you seemingly had with your partner, sets your relationship aback. It is a proof that you're not heading in the right direction with them,as your insecurities speak volumes about where you really are with your partner!
3. The negative scenarios:
Negative scenarios can end your relationship! You can never imagine all sorts of unintended consequences can play out if you do decide to look through their phone. If your catch you-it will end your potential relationship!
Nobody would like if someone secretively goes through their stuff when they're not around. It is bad manners.
4. You may not like what you see:
You can get more hurt after seeing that you weren't meant to see! What if you end up seeing something that you weren't meant to see. Everyone has their certain personal things that your partner does not need to be sharing, and you might happen to stumble upon one of these things.
As the saying goes "Some stones are better left unturned," and this cannot be better explained in looking through someone's phone. You may not like what you see.
5. You would hate if they do the same:
You will never support your partner if he/she do anything same!If you would have been in the same place, you wouldn't want them to do it. Some people obviously wouldn't care as much as others about this, especially those who have nothing to hide, but even still, nobody would enjoy somebody else secretly invading their privacy.
So, treat others as you would like to be treated. If you don't want someone doing something to you, you should probably not do it to them either.
Instead of looking into their phone when they are not around, try being more upfront and honest with them about things. In case if you suspect your partner hiding something, ask them. Talk to them clearly before secretly breaking their trust.
